Started in 1998 by founder Birgit Gunz, Frankonia The Bread House has now taken up residence in one of the fabulous kiosks on Hastings Pier, where it offers its traditional artisan breads, delicious cakes and other treats. The kiosk is supplied on a daily basis from its bakery in Surrey and it is open Tuesday – Sunday throughout the summer (weather permitting.)
As well as offering our incredible array of handmade sourdoughs, breads, brioche, pretzels, cakes, croissants and muffins, to name but a few, we have also introduced afternoon tea boxes.
Whether you are local, or a visitor, now you can enjoy your own five-star experience.

You can now be down on the beach nibbling scones, savouring the taste of a pretzel with your beer in the beer garden, or devouring delicious brownies on the pier while catching up with friends and admiring the breath-taking coastal views. All washed down with a cup of barista served Italian coffee, iced tea or one of the delicious selections of herbal teas… what’s not to love!
Do visit – you won’t be disappointed. Opening hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
